All You Need To Know About Gutter Financing

You can no longer ignore the state of your gutters, maybe it is a leak or sections coming loose from the home. Whatever it is, you know, it is time to replace your gutters. And now you are wondering, “how am I going to pay for it”? Pro knows that quality gutters do more for a home than accent the siding. They play a key role in keeping your foundation safe from rainwater. Which is why it is important to know the options available when it comes to affording this project. When it comes to replacement gutter financing, you are sure to have many questions. Pro is here with the answers.

Can you finance new gutters?

In a word, Yes! Gutter replacement is a great investment in your home’s longevity. You can also count on replacement gutters to raise the resale value and curb appeal! Often, the expected cost for new gutters keeps homeowners from starting this kind of project. Thankfully, there are many financing options that can give you the new gutters that you need now.

How much does it cost to replace gutters in a house?

With gutters, the cost of a new system will be impacted by more than the cost of downspouts. You have to consider removing the old gutters, clean up, whether or not you invested in gutter protection, and the quality of materials used. For instance, a project that is a new construction with seamless gutters won’t have the same type of labor costs as a two-story home with removal and our Pro Flow gutter protection system. The average gutter project in Michigan is estimated to cost between $10 – $37 per linear foot.

Gutter Financing 101

Gutter Financing 101

While the thought of financing a project may make some homeowners weary, these days it is common practice. It allows you to keep your home up to date, safe, and comfortable without breaking the bank. In fact, 80% of all projects that cost over $5,000 require financing! Financing your gutters isn’t a one size fits all situation. That is why we make multiple avenues available to our customers. At Pro, our goal is to make getting financed a seamless part of your gutter project.

How much does it cost to finance a gutter project?

The amount your project total could increase because of financing depends on the type of loan you choose and the length of the term. If you select a same-as-cash loan, you will not pay any additional fees. With a traditional loan, the longer it takes you to pay the loan off the more you will pay in interest. This is because a percentage of the total owed is added on top of the principle over time. This percentage is called the annual percentage rate (APR). The cost added by the APR will be factored into your monthly payments. Let’s explore the options that Pro Home Improvement can offer its gutter customers.

Same-As-Cash Gutter Loans

Same-As-Cash? How does that work? With this loan type, you get a same-as-cash grace period. If you pay off the principle of the loan within this time frame, you will pay zero interest! If you would have no problem paying off the full amount of the project in under two years this may be the best option for you. This grace period is what makes the Same-As-Cash loan one of the most popular loan types. Pay off your gutter project within a couple of years, using easy to manage payments, and you won’t spend a penny more than what the project costs.

Term Lengths: 3, 6, 12, and 18 Months

Traditional Installment Gutter Loans

Maybe the same-as-cash loan is not a good fit for you. You may not be comfortable with a two-year time limit. This doesn’t mean we can’t get this project to fit into your budget. In this case, we would often suggest a more traditional loan type. Just because it is traditional, though, doesn’t mean it will have a high interest rate. We offer great reduced-interest loans that can empower you to fix up your home now and pay it off over the next 5-12 years.

Term Lengths: 5 – 12 Years

Can you pay for new gutters with a credit card?

Still not sure about financing with a loan? Luckily this isn’t the only option for those without the cash available to pay for the project outright. You can also use your credit cards to pay for your new gutters. Depending on your credit card company and the percentage rate on the card this could be a better option than the loans available. Pro Home Improvement accepts all major credit cards.
