Danielle’s West Bloomfield home needed a new roof that not only solved her current issues but also better complemented her home’s brick exterior. The original roof installers had also utilized multiple can vents grouped along the back of the roof. These vents made the house look a bit dated. While curb appeal and function were high on her list, she was also looking for a solution that would last her decades and give her a worry-free roofing solution. When our rep Paul met with Danielle, he answered all of her questions and concerns and helped her choose a color that made her new roof standout.
On the morning of the install, our roofing experts got to work prepping the area around the home to protect Danielle’s landscaping and a child’s play-set near the back of the house. Next was removing the algae streaked shingles of the old roof along with the can vents. Once the roof deck was clear, they began working on ensuring there was no damage to the OSB boards. Along with patching up weak spots, the crew also sealed up the holes left by the old can vents. Those vents were replaced with our much more visually appealing pro grade ridge vents to ensure proper airflow. The ridge vents spanned the entire lengths of both the roof’s peaks. With the deck prepped, it was time for ice & water shield along with our synthetic underlayment, providing advanced protection for the roof’s edges and ensuring leak-proof security over the entire deck surface. Finally, it was time to start installing the shingles. Our rep Paul worked with Danielle to find the perfect shingle color to complement her home’s exterior, and in the end, they chose our CertainTeed LandMark Pro shingles in Burnt Sienna with brown drip edge. With the install finished and all the finishing touches completed, it was time to clean up the tarps and inspect the area to ensure we left no nails or materials behind. Danielle can now rest assured knowing her beautiful new roof will last her the life of her home.
